What is a podcast?
Podcasts are episodes of a program available on the Internet for free. Podcasts are usually original audio or video recordings, usually of some type of program, lecture, performance, or other event. For podcast listeners, podcasts are a way to enjoy great content from your phone, tablet, or computer any around the world.
How to use a podcast
Find a podcast that you like. For example our site is http://savedandgay.podbean.com/. Note the feed link, where the red circle is drawn.
To use an rss feed, you will need a news reader that allows you to subscribe to, collect, and display the content. Many of the programs are free and already installed on your pc, such as Outlook, iTunes, or Winamp. These programs will allow you to subscribe and listen to the files. Each program offers a different way of subscribing to Web feeds, so follow the instructions in the selected program.
Use a downloading program.
Some commonly used applications include iTunes, so you can listen on your iPod or iPhone, along with Google Listener, and Podcaster to name a few. You can also listen directly from the New Covenant of Atlanta Church phone app, which is free for download off iTunes or Google Play Store. The phone application is compatible with both iPhone (iTunes) and Android (Google PlayStore).
Once installed, simply select the NCCA Podcast icon from the bottom row or choose the "More" tab and then the NCCA Podcast icon. Then all you need to do is select the podcast you want to listen to and enjoy.
You can also choose to download the audio file, burn it to a CD, or import the file to a USB drive, phone or other device for listening to mp3’s.
